 Cancún is a golfers’ paradise and the Hotel Zone has four golf courses. The Pok-ta-Pok is an 18-hole, par 72 course with vistas of both ocean and lagoon, restaurant, bar and rentals. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course has its own Mayan ruins. The 18-hole par 72 Hilton Cancún Beach and Golf Resort is located on the shores of the lagoon and has the El Rey archaeological site as a backdrop. The others are the 18-hole par 3 at the Meliá Cancún Hotel, and the 9-hole, par 3 at the Gran Oasis Hotel.
Green fees are reasonable and equipment available at every course. Most of the 5-star and Grand Tourism hotels have tennis courts, some floodlit for night play, resident pros and equipment. The larger hotels also have an on-site spa/gym/health club.
