 The fishing villages of Puerto Juárez (4 km) and Punta Sam (6 km) are located about 10 and 15 minutes north of downtown Cancún. Passenger ferries to Isla Mujeres embark from Puerto Juárez every 30 minutes or so; and there are water taxis. Car ferries embark from Punta Sam.
