Other shopping centers

Apart from American-style megamalls, there are many strip malls and craft markets in the Hotel Zone filled with everything from textiles to Talavera. Most will be a short walk or taxi ride from your hotel. The most popular of these are: El Parián, a cluster of shops, banks, nightclubs and restaurants next door to the Convention Center; Coral Negro Market, adjacent to the Party Center, more than sixty shops showcasing handicrafts; El Zócalo, just across the road, a craft 'market'; La Mansión-Costa Blanca, upscale shops and restaurants; Plaza La Fiesta, a department store of folk art, gold and silver jewelry; and Plaza Lagunas, Plaza Mayafair, Plaza Las Velas, Plaza Nautilus and Plaza Terramar are combination shopping mall and office complexes. Most stores are open 9am.-10pm. Most plazas usually have exchange houses, many have automatic tellers.
