 Everything that applies to Cancún by way of fishing, applies to Isla Mujeres, the same fishing grounds of La Grieta and La Corrientada, and a fishing tournament during billfish season (April to August). In addition, the island hosts an international sailing regatta, the object of which is a race from St. Petersburg, Florida to Isla Mujeres the last days in April.
