 Regional airlines operate flights to area archaeological sites. From Cancún you can fly to Chichén Itzá and Palenque; Tikal in Guatemala via Flores and Copán in Honduras. From Cancún, Chetumal and Cozumel you can fly to cities in southeast Mexico and to destinations in Central America with connections to the United States, South America and Europe. Bus service is good throughout the region and renting a car is a viable option.
