 Playa del Carmen is ideally located for exploring the area and local travel agencies and hotels offer a range of half-day and day trips to sites of interest in the Riviera Maya and further afield such as Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, Cozumel, Holbox, the archaeological sites in Southern Quintana Roo and Tikal in Guatemala.
