 Ferry sails for Cozumel on a daily basis

 Puerto Morelos is home of the car and freight ferries to Cozumel. The crossing takes about two and a half hours. People traveling to the island without freight or a car are encouraged to use the passenger ferries leaving from Playa del Carmen. Although there is a departure schedule, delays are frequent, up to several days at times.
