 Getting to neighboring Yucatán is easy by road. Sites of interest include Chichén Itzá (200 km), Izamal (268 km), Valladolid (160 km), Mérida, the Puuc Route sites and Río Lagartos reserve (263 km). Traveling south from Cancún, visitors can explore the Riviera Maya, Southern Quintana Roo and Campeche and even cross the border into northern Belize and Guatemala, obviously a trip of longer duration.
