Cigars

Cancún is smokin' when it comes to an international selection of premium cigars. Many cigar aficionados, particularly visitors from the United States, are thrilled to find commercial humidors stocked with habanos and fine Mexican cigars such as Cruz Real and Te Amo. Mexico controls but does not prohibit the importation of cigars from Cuba and from the other cigar-rolling nations of the Caribbean. Watch for Cohiba, Montecristo, Bolívar, Romeo y Julieta and others. To avoid bogus habanos check for green splotches on the box and wrappers, the green and white Cuban Government seal and factory code and the Hecho en Cuba legend. Premium Cuban cigars usually sell for $14 to $30 dollars apiece while Mexican cigars range from $4 to $10 dollars each.
