Cozumel has some fine beaches, those on the leeward coast are sheltered and suitable for swimming. Windward beaches are beautiful but the currents and undertow are strong and swimming is not recommended. To reach each the windward shore take the cross-
island highway. In addition to diving, snorkeling and sport fishing, island marinas offer windsurfing, water ski, jet ski, sailing and cruises on glass-bottomed boats.
