 Visitors to this village not only experience Mayan culture first-hand, they also can explore the jungle accompanied by a local guide and find out about the flora and fauna. For adventure buffs there are activities as diverse as kayaking on the lagoon, rappelling down a cenote wall and swinging across the water on a cable. Traditional cuisine is prepared by the women of the village. Available only through travel agencies in the Riviera Maya and Cancún, the Pac Chen tour forms part of a sustainable development project designed to help the villagers. The community
is located 25 kms north of Cobá on the road to Nuevo Xcan.
