Uxmal is a Late Classic, Puuc-style city (A.D. 600-900) with superb architecture. Principal structures include the Sorcerer's Pyramid, the Nun's Quadrangle and the Governor's Palace. A World Heritage Site, Uxmal is located 78 km south of Mérida, along Highway 261.
